The other half of a couple who created a Newfoundland business empire has passed away.
Catherine Steele, an astute businesswoman and wife of Harry Steele passed away just five weeks after her husband died.
Born in Grand Bank, the former Catherine Thornhill was a former music teacher.
The couple’s first business venture was the acquisition of the Albatross Hotel in Gander. They would go on to establish a business empire which included New Cap Radio and the VOCM/Big Land network.
Catherine Steele was 91.
