A live COVID briefing is taking place this afternoon.

If all goes to plan, this will be the last live briefing before mandatory masking, distancing, and capacity limits, and VaxPass requirements are eliminated. Masking will still be required in schools and healthcare facilities, though masking in schools will be reviewed before Easter.

Today’s live briefing will take place an hour earlier than normal at 1 p.m.

Chief Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Janice Fitzgerald, and Health Minister John Haggie will be in attendance.
