Get ready for another round of steep fuel price increases.
Consumer advocate Dan McTeague of Canadians for Affordable Energy expects gas to go up by six cents per litre at midnight tonight but the biggest jump is diesel, the fuel which runs the economy. He told VOCM’s Gerri Lynn Mackey on VOCM Mornings that diesel will balloon by 19 cents a litre.
He thought the PUB was going to use its Interruption Formula on Tuesday just as it did late last week.
Home heating energy will go up by about 12 cents.
McTeague expects to see oil hit $150 per barrel.
