A container vessel is adrift off the west coast.
The Canadian Coast Guard says MSC Kim, which left Halifax on its way to Montreal, is adrift 50 nautical miles off Port au Port after engine problems dragged them to a stop.
No injuries or pollution has been reported.
The vessel owners have hired a tow vessel from Stephenville, and the CCGS Terry Fox is in the area to conduct a harbour breakout and help the tow vessel out of Stephenville Harbour.
The coast guard are working with the owner to develop a response plan for the vessel.
