The RNC is turning to the public to help identify a suspect in two recent armed robberies in the metro region.
Police were called to the scene of a robbery at the Mary Brown’s on Topsail Road in St. John’s which occurred around 5:20 p.m. on Monday. The suspect entered the store, presented a weapon and demanded cash.
He ended up leaving the store empty-handed. A few minutes later RNC responded to another reported armed robbery at Marie’s Mini Mart on Thorburn Road in St. John’s. In that incident, the suspect again presented a weapon and demanded cash. He ran from the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.
In both cases the suspect was described as wearing a black and red hoodie with the hood over his head and black pants.
