A 25-year-old man is dead following a single-vehicle rollover on the Veteran’s Memorial discovered over the lunch hour.
RCMP was alerted to the incident around noon and determined that the crash had occurred sometime earlier in the day and was discovered sometime later.
The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle was dead at the scene.
The crash forced the temporary closure of the highway between Harbour Grace and Tilton while emergency crews worked on the scene.
The highway has since reopened.
