A group of Level II students from across the province is being recognized for their interest in research and innovation, as well as academic excellence in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
14 students have been named the recipients of the 2022 Research Inspired Student Enrichment – RISE – Awards.
The provincial government delivers the Awards program, including support for tuition, accommodations, and travel for recipients to attend summer research-related enrichment programs at either the Boston Leadership Institute or the Research Science Institute at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Andrew Parsons, Minister of Industry, Energy and Technology, congratulated the students on their achievement in the House of Assembly earlier this week, saying how proud the province is while wishing all the best, as the students prepare to represent Newfoundland and Labrador abroad.
