A woman in Cartwright is facing serious charges after a run-in with the RCMP last Friday night.
Police responded to a report of an impaired snowmobiler, and found a woman driving on the harbour ice.
They said she showed visible signs of impairment and fought with officers as they tried to arrest her.
She was eventually brought back to the detachment where she provided breath samples that were more than twice the legal limit.
The woman was charged with impaired driving, resisting arrest and assaulting a police officer. Her licence was also suspended and the snowmobile seized by police.
She was released on conditions pending a future court date.
