Some 50 people are involved in the search today for a man who has been missing for nearly 2 years.

49-year-old Raymond Halleran was last seen at his home in St. Vincent’s in January of 2018.

At the time, RCMP had indicated that he may have been picked up by someone in a vehicle.

Halleran is described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and 175 lbs. He has grey eyes and brown hair that may have been dyed purple. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, khaki shoes and a camouflage jacket and hat. He was carrying a black duffle bag.

RCMP say as part of their ongoing investigation, and following multiple search efforts, they decided to circle back to Halleran’s last known location, his home, and work out from there.

Today’s search involves RCMP, and members of three search and rescue groups, the Rovers, Central Avalon, and Avalon North Wolverines.
