Food First NL has launched a new project partially funded by the provincial government.
The non-profit is launching an eight-week project funded by the Government of NL and the Catherine Donnelly Foundation, to engage food charity program providers, food program users, and others who are experiencing food insecurity.
“Rethinking Food Charity: A Community Conversation” aims to help to inform future approaches, but also help to develop long term strategies to create a healthier province.
Food First NL is launching two initial surveys to start the project. One survey is for staff and volunteers and the other is for people dealing with food insecurity.
The surveys, open until May 4, can be found on Food First NL’s website.
