Two men are facing a slew of drug charges after multiple searches on the Avalon.
On Monday, April 4, RCMP pulled 27-year-old Christian Woodward over on Glam Road in Clarke’s Beach where he was taken into custody without incident. Police found a quantity of cannabis and more than $5,000 cash inside the vehicle. Police then executed a search of his home where they found oxycodone pills, contraband cannabis and cannabis products, ammunition, cocaine, prescription medications, and over $15,000 in cash, as well as various proceeds of crime items.
The next day, police executed another search, this time at the Brigus residence of 48-year-old Steven Breaker. There police found more than a kilogram of cocaine, 432 grams of contraband cannabis, a firearm, and ammunition. He was arrested without incident.
Christian Woodward is facing charges of:
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking oxycodone
· Possession of unstamped cannabis for the purpose of selling
· Four counts of failing to comply with a release order
Steven Breaker is facing charges of:
· Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
· Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
· Unauthorized possession of a firearm
· Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized
· Unsafe Storage of a firearm
· Possession of unstamped cannabis for the purpose of selling
