The MHA for Grand Falls Windsor-Buchans is paying tribute to a man from this province who is over in Poland right now helping with Ukraine relief.
Chris Tibbs rose in the House of Assembly earlier this week to talk about William Lauren Goudie. Goudie is a former teacher in Grand Falls-Windsor and Bishops Falls, as well as a former member of the Royal Newfoundland Regiment.
Goudie moved to Ontario in the fall of 2020 to serve as a Commission Logistics Officer with the 35th Field Battery Captain. However, Tibbs says the man retired last month so that he could head to Poland and do “what he does best – help people.”
He asked other members of the House to join him in thanking Goudie for his work.
