One doctor is shining a spotlight on the first all-female cardiac surgery OR team in this province’s history.
Dr. Donna Kimmaliardjuk, who recently made history by becoming Canada’s first Inuk heart surgeon, shared a photo on Twitter of the team gathered around the operating table at the Health Science Centre in St. John’s.
She says it was a fantastic day working with the amazing women.
