RCMP are seeking the public’s help in identifying a motorcycle driver who they say fled from them in a dangerous manner.

On Tuesday, police received multiple reports of a motorcycle driving dangerously in Carbonear and Harbour Grace. When they attempted to pull the motorcycle over, the driver fled in a dangerous manner, passing several vehicles and failing to stop at traffic lights.

In the interest of public safety, police decided not to pursue the driver, who was last seen driving onto the Veterans Memorial Highway.

The bike is white with red trim and is a sports-style, or lean-over, motorcycle. The driver, believed to be a man, was wearing a red and blue windbreaker jacket.
