Parishioners at Holy Rosary Church in Portugal Cove have launched a campaign to raise money to buy it back from the Archdiocese. There’s also another group planning to submit a bid but they plan to convert the building to another use. The parishioners group would operate it as a church.
Parishioner Michelle Martin says they love their church, which has been in existence since 1915, and do not want to see it converted to a cultural facility.
They’re asking people to support their GoFundMe campaign which is linked on their website.
