Central Health is hiring what it calls a Virtual Emergency Room/Diversion Coordinator.

The position will be responsible for coordinating the virtual ER or diversion schedule for all category B sites within the health authority.

There are currently eight category B facilities in Central Health—they include Baie Verte, Botwood, Buchans, Fogo Island, Harbour Breton, New Wes Valley, Springdale and Twillingate.

Central Health has experienced some challenges in recent years recruiting needed health care professionals and has made use of virtual ER services at a number of facilities.
