The Newfoundland and Labrador Deaf Choir has been chosen as the first-ever deaf choir to perform at the prestigious Podium Choral Festival.
The festival, held at Toronto’s Metropolitan United Church, will see eleven choirs take the stage.
The NL Deaf Choir will perform with Shallaway’s Camerata Ensemble and Inuk Soprano Deantha Edmunds.
The choir performs at Podium on May 22nd, while a pre-tour fundraising concert is taking place at the First Light Centre for Performance and Creativity in St. John’s on Tuesday, May 17 at 8:00 p.m.
