Milk sales in Newfoundland and Labrador have dropped 11 per cent, a trend also seen across the country.
The Dairy Farmers of Newfoundland and Labrador has launched a campaign to change that.
The “No Bull” campaign was put together in response to the drop. The industry has a $100-million annual impact on the provincial economy according to farmers.
Crosbie Williams owns and operates the 250-cow Pondview Farms in the Goulds. He says milk sold here is locally produced and processed and if it’s in coloured cartons, it’s from a local cow on a local farm.
The No Bull campaign will run until December 2019.
