Parks Canada has officially opened its temporary visitor centre in Rocky Harbour.
The centre, located on Main Street North, will be in use while the new Gros Morne visitor centre is being constructed.
Due to the location’s size, it is not possible to accommodate large commercial groups at the facility. Such groups are asked to visit the Discovery Centre in Woody Point and Lobster Cove Head Lighthouse in Rocky Harbour for interpretive exhibits and washroom access.
Signs have been put on the highway to direct visitors to the temporary location.
It will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, beginning today through October 10.
