A new play that examines the blurry relationship between two women is coming to the LSPU Hall this week.
“motherskin”, written by local artist Mallory Fisher and directed by Meghan Greeley, tells the story of Patience (played by Brooke Adams), who plots to kill her mother, as she is convinced her sister, Sivvy (played by Fisher), is trapped inside her mother’s ribcage.
The play explores the toxic body image, food obsession, internalized misogyny, and sexuality, as well as the blurry, rewarding and treacherous relationship between the two women.
The show is set to open June 9th and run until the 12th. Tickets can be purchased at the hall’s website.
