Fancy hats will adorn the grounds of Government House in St. John’s today for one of the social events of the year in the capital city—the Lieutenant Governor’s Garden Party.
Samantha Harding, communications officer with Government House, says this will be the first such event since 2019 and that people can expect an afternoon of light refreshments, entertainment and good company.
John Curran and Greg Walsh of The Masterless Men will be on stage as will the St. Pat’s Dancers, the CLB Band and Signal Hill Tattoo. RNC Mounted unit will also be on hand. The Girl Guides will be serving light refreshments. The event, which is open to the public, is free.
Sunny skies and warm breezes are the order of the day. The Garden Party takes place from 2 to 4:30 p.m.
