The promoter for this weekend’s Churchill Park music festival says more than a few hurdles were overcome to reach this day.
From flights and COVID considerations, to neighbours, noise and parking, not to mention a new venue.
And all of it seemingly dependent on the weather, which is looking better all the time.
Promoter Pete Quinton says he’s blessed with the crew he has on site, but says supply chains have been brutal.
He says he’s fortunate to have access to the same crews that work the other major festivals and events in the region. But he says it has been frustrating when it comes to simple but important services such as catering.
Quinton says flights eventually worked out after some initial cancellations.
He says headliners Matchbox 20 have been in St. John’s for a few days in advance of their Saturday night performance.
