Forecasters are keeping an eye on Hurricane Fiona, which has wreaked a lot of havoc on Puerto Rico.
Current tracking shows that it will have some impact on Newfoundland and Labrador but it’s too many days out to predict with any detail.
Brenden Sawchuk, a meteorologist with Environment Canada, says the weather will become unsettled around mid-week, particularly on the west coast.
Where the trough sets up and pushes out will probably determine how far north and west the hurricane comes.
Forecasters expect Fiona to bring rain, wind and track-facing storm surge with some effects first developing on Friday.
