The Universal Design Network is sponsoring a drawing contest for children to help raise awareness about design that fits all.
Universal Design is a concept that takes into account all needs and abilities and seamlessly incorporates those needs into homes, businesses, public spaces and government buildings.
Spokesperson Craig Reid says its an exciting contest about an exciting concept.
The contest asks kids to “Draw How Accessibility Makes you Feel.”
The provincial government, COD-NL, and Boom IT Group are supporters of the contest. Sheets and entry forms have gone out to the Janeway and other hospitals, parents and caregivers, and even schools.
Prizes include a Nintendo Switch and a professional Wacom Graphics Tablet.
