RNC are warning people in the Corner Brook region of the potential presence of fentanyl in the community.
The Constabulary says it has determined that there is a potential presence of fentanyl in illicit drugs being trafficked in the area.
More worryingly, police believe the illicit substances are being accessed by young people.
Fentanyl can be lethal in even the tiniest amounts.
RNC are asking the public to have a naloxone kit close by if you, or someone you know, is using illicit drugs.
Free naloxone kits are available for distribution through any of the province’s health authorities.
