A Mi’kmaw artist will be creating a mural for National Day for Truth and Reconciliation over the weekend.
Marcus Gosse, a member of the Qalipu First Nation, will be designing a mural on Memorial University’s street art wall, featuring the ancient Mi’kmaw star, Mi’kmaw petroglyphs and hieroglyphs and various double curve designs.
His work was delayed today because of the weather, but he’s expected to work at the site through the weekend and is expected to be finished by early next week.
The mural is set to coincide with Truth and Reconciliation Day tomorrow.
