A 38-year-old Corner Brook man has been arrested and the investigation continues into a violent home invasion in the west coast city this week.
Police were called to a home on Carter Avenue in Corner Brook yesterday after two suspects gained entry and assaulted a man inside. The victim suffered minor injuries as a result.
The suspects then fled the property with a number of valuable items.
RNC pulled over one of the suspects around 9:20 last night and charged the man with break and enter, assault, forcible confinement, theft and break of a court order. The accused was held in custody pending a court appearance.
Police believe the incident to be targeted.
In the meantime, investigators are looking for information in relation to the second male suspect. Anyone with possible video footage from the area of Carter Avenue is asked to contact Corner Brook RNC or Crime Stoppers.
