The Opposition is calling for joint federal-provincial management of the fishery.
Fisheries critic Craig Pardy introduced a Private Members Resolution last week, aimed at establishing joint fisheries management between this province and Ottawa.
Pardy says he saw support from all corners of the House of Assembly for the resolution and hopes government will move on it.
He says it’s time Newfoundland and Labrador had a seat at the table when it comes to making decisions on the province’s ocean resources.
