The Newfoundland and Labrador Construction Association is hosting its annual conference in St. John’s this week, starting today with a Women in Construction Forum.
The Minister of Digital Government and Service NL, Sarah Stoodley, is participating in a discussion with women in the construction trades this morning, followed by a business luncheon attended by the Minister of Women and Gender Equality, Pam Parsons, over the lunch hour.
The event is part of the Construction Association’s annual conference “World Class Opportunities in Your Backyard” underway at the Delta Hotel in St. John’s.
Tomorrow’s events will feature an update on the province’s wind energy, discussion on the rising cost of materials, green hydrogen, and respectful workplace policy. Carl Dymond of the Dymond Group of Companies will be guest speaker.
The conference wraps up on Saturday with a gala award ceremony.
