The Outer Ring Road is closed to traffic today to accommodate for the clean-up of litter and garbage along the sides of the road.
The Outer Ring Road tends to see an accumulation of trash, much of which falls from vehicles carrying unsecured loads to the waste disposal site in Robin Hood Bay.
The fine for failing to secure cargo or comply with existing regulations ranges from $120 to $600 dollars.
The highway closure will run from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. with traffic control and barricades in place throughout the day.
