A pair of heists were foiled, almost by each other, at a St. John’s grocery store last night.
Three people were arrested in two incidents of shoplifting happening at the same time at an east end store.
Around 9:30 RNC officers got the call that there were two shoplifters in the grocery store, but when they arrived a third man ran from them. Sure enough, he was carrying stolen products and was in breach of court orders.
After his arrest, officers continued to the original call in which two 20-year-old men had been detained by store security. Both were charged with theft, and one, like the first man, was in breach of court orders.
