A Holyrood man is facing impaired charges after both he and his ATV ended up in the ocean.
On November 25, an officer on patrol noticed a man who appeared to have been in the water and showed signs of being drunk.
Police learned that the 54-year-old man had been driving his ATV when he lost control and crashed near the Holyrood Boardwalk and ended up in the ocean.
He failed a roadside screening test and provided samples that were nearly three times the legal limit. It was also found that he was prohibited from driving after an impaired conviction last year.
He is facing charges of impaired driving, being over the legal limit, and driving while prohibited. He was released to appear in court in January. His ATV was impounded.
