A man metro police have connected to the theft of several vehicles has been arrested after officers followed the man driving what they believed was a stolen vehicle.
The incident began unfolding on Kenmount Road mid-afternoon yesterday when officers began following the vehicle. Two males jumped out and fled into a residence but when police spoke with the homeowner, a 23-year-old man turned himself in and was immediately arrested.
He has been charged with flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, driving while prohibited, possession of stolen property and breaching several court orders.
