The RNC is investigating a break-in in Mount Pearl on the weekend that resulted in serious injuries to the occupant.
Police were called to a home on Leger Crescent around 11:00 p.m. Saturday. The victim, who was found outside, was taken to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.
Police learned that the victim’s home had been broken into and his vehicle, a white 2018 GMC Sierra, stolen.
The pickup was located in the area of New Pennywell Road early Sunday morning. Police believe multiple suspects were involved. All suspects were wearing dark clothes and masks at the time of the incident.
RNC are looking for any information that might help them in their investigation. They’re asking anyone who may have noticed suspicious activity, or who may have CCTV footage from a couple of areas and at certain times, to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
That includes Leger Crescent in Mount Pearl between 10:30 p.m. Saturday, December 3 and 12:00 a.m. on December 4, and New Pennywell Road, and the surrounding area of St. John’s between the hours of 11:30 p.m. December 3 and 3:30 a.m. December 4.
