WorkplaceNL has announced the first recipients of its Safety Leadership Awards.

The awards were handed out at the WorkplaceNL Health and Safety Learning Symposium at the St. John’s Convention Centre.

Labatt Brewery was named as the recipient of the Leadership Award for Employers for its collaborative and cooperative approach to safety.

The Leadership Award for Workers went to Ryan Gibbons of BDP Rentals & Contracting Inc. Gibbons was recognized for his efforts to improve communication and ensuring that safety is at the forefront at his company.
