Police in Labrador West are continuing to see an increase in impaired driving in recent weeks.

Six people in the region have been charged with a DUI in the past three weeks.

The most recent incident occurred early Monday morning when police were notified of a possible impaired driver seen leaving a bar. The vehicle was located shortly after. The driver, who was showing signs of impairment, was taken to the detachment where he blew over the legal limit.

The man, who had his license suspended and vehicle impounded, was released to appear in court at a later date.
