A provincial government aircraft was damaged following an incident at Deer Lake Airport on Tuesday.
The Beech B300C turboprop, from St. John’s to Deer Lake, landed at the airport and was attempting to turn around to backtrack to taxiway B, when the wheel went off the runway and struck a runway light.
The pilot reported damage to the propeller and a hole in the fuselage.
The incident is under investigation.
