A renowned Indigenous performer is bringing his holiday show to St. John’s tonight.
Among the accolades for Tom Jackson are the Order of Canada, Juno and Gemini humanitarian awards, eleven honorary degrees, and the 2014 Governor General’s Performing Arts Award for Lifetime Achievement.
For years Jackson has performed with the Huron Carole, travelling coast-to-coast to raise funds and awareness for local food banks and family service agencies.
Now, he is bringing his Stories, Songs, and Santa Causes show to the capital city tonight at the First Light Centre for Performance and Creativity.
