RCMP on the west coast seized a number of vehicles following traffic stops in the Bay of Islands area over the weekend.
On Saturday afternoon, police stopped an a vehicle on the Main Road in Cox’s Cove and found open alcohol inside. The 71-year-old driver blew over the provincial limit, and he was without registration and insurance.
Later that day police stopped another vehicle in the community. The 55-year-old man was driving with a suspended licence and he was ticketed under the Highway Traffic Act.
On Sunday, officers stopped a vehicle on Hillview Avenue in Benoit’s Cove. A 29-year-old Corner Brook man was driving with a suspended licence and without registration or insurance. the man was ticketed.
