The final COVID numbers for the year are being reported today.
There have been 19 hospitalizations due to the virus over the last week and six deaths; two people are in critical care.
Official lab-confirmed COVID cases are low. The province dismantled it’s PCR testing clinics this week. Rapid test kits have been distributed across the province, and those who test positive are being encouraged to report it to Public Health.
In the meantime, the province is cutting back it’s COVID reporting to once every two weeks starting in the new year. There will be no COVID updates through Christmas week.
