Two men from Stoneville have been fined after being convicted for salmon poaching.
Jordan Hodder and Brady Hill appeared in Gander court last week.
They were charged with unlawfully netting fish in inland waters. Each was fined $2,500 dollars and they are both prohibited from being on or within 20 metres of inland waters and from participating in recreational fisheries for a period of three years.
The pair was arrested in Stoneville on August 5 by enforcement officers acting on information gleaned from surveillance in the area.
A canoe, two gill nets, a salmon, one fish tray and a face mask were seized.
