A 24-year-old man was arrested for drug-impaired driving Tuesday night after he was stopped for speeding in Butlerville.
RCMP pulled the vehicle over around 10:30 for driving 72 km/h in a 40 km/h zone. Police say the man showed signs of cannabis impairment and tested positive for cannabis on roadside screening equipment.
The accused was taken to Carbonear General where a blood sample was taken.
The investigation continues and police are awaiting the results of the blood analysis to determine if impaired driving charges are appropriate.
