Goronwy Price will be stepping down as the CEO of the Goose Bay Airport Corporation in February, after 16 years with the organization.
Over the last 16 years the corporation has successfully negotiated and endorsed the official transfer agreement for lands from Transport Canada and the Department of National Defence for the civilian operations at the airport.
More recently, the company says the airport tripled the size of its terminal and constructed a new facility to accommodate coastal services and charters.
Price says he is proud of the airport’s accomplishments during his tenure, and believes he is leaving the corporation at a time when it is well positioned for the future.
The company has brought in the recruiting firm KBRS to help select a new CEO. That process will start in January.
