The Canadian Rangers in Makkovik are lending a hand this evening as NORAD tracks Santa’s progress around the globe.
Makkovik Mayor Barry Andersen says the Canadian Rangers are responsible for conducting regular physical inspections of the North Warning System and he’s pleased to say that the local tracking system is in good working order.

He says the radar site is operational and will be able to pick up Santa when he’s in range.
