The province’s Chief Medical Officer of Health says the push for vaccinations against both flu and COVID-19 will be top of mind heading into 2023.

Respiratory viruses such as flu, RSV, and COVID have hit many in the province hard this season.

Dr. Janice Fitzgerald says it is important to stay up-to-date on all vaccines, however, she stresses the importance of getting vaccinated against the flu.

She says the province typically sees a wave of flu at the beginning of the season and a slightly smaller wave towards the end, which is why it is important for both adults and kids to get their shot.
