The snowmobile season on the east coast so far is a bit of a dud, with enthusiasts looking to the west coast for more favourable conditions.
President of the Western Sno-Riders, Glenn Green says the season is picking up in the Corner Brook region with plenty of snow in the higher elevations.
The challenge he says involves trails that start in the lower elevations where snowfall amounts are not as great.
The best places for snowmobiling right now says Green are the Lewis Hills and the Blomidon Mountains.
“Those areas rarely disappoint” says Green.
