Two men were taken to hospital with injuries following an assault involving a weapon in the capital city’s downtown in the early morning hours of New Year’s.
Police were called to George Street around 2:25 a.m. on January 1. Two men, a 27-year-old and a 30-year-old were injured and taken to hospital with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
The investigation continues and police are asking anyone with information or video footage in the area of George Street between 2:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. on January 1 to contact the RNC at 729-8000, Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or using the P3Tips app.
