Police in Grand Falls-Windsor are investigating following a frightening home invasion Wednesday morning.
Shortly before 7:30 a.m. RCMP say a masked person armed with a machete forced entry into an apartment and demanded jewelry.
One resident hid while the other was threatened by the suspect, who eventually fled the scene with a quantity of jewelry.
The two victims were uninjured during the altercation.
The suspect, who is described as being six feet tall and of a muscular build, is said to have left the scene in a four door white pickup truck, possibly a Dodge.
