An initiative to promote energy efficiency in Glovertown is being heralded as a huge success.
The town recently partnered with Newfoundland Power and NL Hydro to distribute free packs of 5 LED light bulbs to residents of the town age 65 and older, many of whom they say are on a fixed or low income.
The town initially had 500 bulbs to distribute, all of which were handed out by late Wednesday morning.
The town says they have requested more bulbs to give out.
