David Brazil will not be running for the party’s top job when the PCs choose their new leader in the fall.
The Opposition leader made the announcement at Confederation Building this morning.
Brazil suffered a massive heart attack last year that took him out of the political realm for several months.
Brazil was appointed interim leader of the party in the Spring of 2021 and says he will continue to lead the party for the next nine months.
The party leadership convention is scheduled for October 13 to October 15 of this year.
Brazil says he hasn’t ruled out running in his district in the next general election.
